Lilian Diorio - Mogul In The Making

By: Aundrea Jackson

Lilian Diorio This San Diego native is much more than just another piece of exotic Eye Candy. Although Lilian Diorio's melting pot heritage of Filipino, Spanish, Italian and Irish have molded her unique look and style, her struggles and life experience have shaped her intellect, deep soul, and hustle mentality. Not only is this beauty a model, her resume includes mortgage broker, insurance agent, singer, dancer, promoter, and more - a true jack of all trades! Beauty and intelligence are two characteristics widely claimed by models, but rarely is it difficult to determine exactly which is the model's strong point. As beautiful as she may be, one may argue that Lilian's most remarkable attribute would be her lust for philanthropy. Achieving heights in her career for personal gain is not as important to her as being able to spread her message to the masses. One thing is for sure, a remarkable work ethic combined with intellect and an unstoppable drive ensures that Lilian will certainly achieve and surpass any aspirations she sets for herself. Read on as she shares with Yo! Raps her dreams, life story, and explains exactly why she is a mogul in the making.

Let's start off fairly easy. Where are you from?

Born and raised in San Diego, CA.

So, you're a Cali girl! How has growing up in San Diego shaped your life?

See, in San Diego it's always sunny so we were always outside! We thought we were the "goonies" [laughs]. We were crazy. We did stuff that you can only do out there. Although we lived in the city, we still found a way to climb cliffs, build clubhouses in canyons, ran through tunnels; always on an adventure! A bunch of mixed kids on a mission! One thing about it was everybody was from somewhere, but we all came together. Not just the people but the place was so diverse. You could be in the mountains and on the beach all in the same day. I guess that's what built me to be so open minded and adventurous, and gave me that "one love" mentality.

You have professed to have a deep love for various forms of entertainment. How was this love born?

I'd have to say it was born before I was born. I mean, I am Filipino! I've been listening to Mom sing karaoke since I was in the womb [laughs]! Just playing! I don't know. I have just always had love for the arts. It's a form of expression; an outlet for different emotions to me.
